I currently use Satisfye ZenGrip Pro Bundles on both Switch Consoles (a must have for Switch owners). I Love the grips that come with the bundle.
Satisfye products are AMAZING and are a necessity when gaming with a Switch, they are worth every penny spent even with the following pros and cons of these RyzePads.
RyzePad on OLED Edition PROS:
- They fit tight and perfectly, they will not slip off. Which is the way they should be.
- All RyzePads are fairly easy to apply, just make sure you apply AS DIRECTED, do not just push down it will NEVER work. I strongly suggest not letting a Child apply them to the stick.
- Notch/Notch Extended RyzePads work great, they are super comfortable, your thumbs nestle right into them and you can play for hours with absolutely zero pain in wrists or hands. I prefer the Extended Notch on the left Joycon because if used on the right joycon the height of it slows your thumb moving back and forth to the B button. Make sure you adjust the thumb indents on the pads where your thumbs sit comfortably before applying the pads completely.
- Wave/Wave Extended RyzePads are also quite comfortable. Your thumbs do not slip off like you might think, I am pretty aggressive with the thumb sticks. The pads are covered in a material that will keep your thumbs in place.
RyzePad on OLED EDITION CONS:
- Please see OVERALL Cons below.
RyzePad on OLED Zelda TOTK EDITION PROS:
- Again both Notch, Notch Extended, Wave and Wave Extended are super comfortable and game play is painless.
- Application is extremely easy, again follow directions from Satisfye.
RyzePad on OLED Zelda TOTK EDITION CONS:
- All RyzePad types tend to fall off during those intense parts of your game play and have to be reapplied. Application is easy I believe because the Zelda TOTK EDITION Joycon thumb sticks are slightly smaller in size than the OLED Edition joycon thumb sticks. I have the biggest problem with them during times of fast movement.
- Please see below in OVERALL Cons
OVERALL PROS For BOTH Consoles:
- Noticeably enhances movement during gameplay
- A must have for ALL Switch players
- Extremely comfortable
- Extends gaming time by hours if you choose
- The Notch/Notch Extended & Wave/Wave Extended are amazing.
- The set comes with a nicely constructed metal case.
RyzePad OVERALL CONS for both consoles:
- Somewhat high price point, however they are definitely worth it, I just wish they would make a set that did NOT include the Swival pad.
- I had super high hopes for the Swival RyzePad and was totally let down shortly after applying it to either of the consoles. I also tried it on both right and left Joycons. Your thumb will slips around the thumb stick too much sometimes ruining gameplay battles. This might be 100% linked to my play style, I do not play claw, just regular style however I use a low sensitivity so I tend to be tougher on the sticks.
- Over the course of 6-8 months depending on use the material they are made out of will begin to flake off in tiny black specs and your pad begins to grind down, once this happens I suggest tossing them and using a new pair. I hope they make this material more durable in the future. I understand that these are not designed to last forever but 6 months for a $30 product is a bit short.
- I'm giving the RyzePad Set 4 stars because of two factors, The Swival RyzePad and the fact that these RyzePads dont stay very well on the Zelda TOTK Joycons. I will absolutely purchase again even with the cons I have described! I am a Satisfye loyalist that's why I am taking time to write this long review!
